I need a second to acknowledge all the emotions I have just gone through with this book! What an ending to the series. Lots happened and the reader finally got the whole picture, but oh my word, I’d never have guessed what was in store!

The author wrecked my heart, put it back together and wrecked it all over again with this last book. I loved all that’s happened in this final installment and I think a more perfect ending to this series couldn’t have existed.

As I mentioned, there is a lot in this book and some of it is absolute paralysing tension! The events Jason is put through are so psychologically and emotionally charged that I thought my e-reader was going to catch fire. As for Sally, her development is remarkable, with her wit and maturity progressing until reaching the peak at the end. I said before how much I love the characters of Jason and Sally and this book made me love them even more; and how I ached with and for them! My heart was bursting for them.

As for the puzzle revelation, well I could never have imagined what the whole thing was all about, and although I still have to clarify some things in my head, I loved the unfolding and the meaning behind it all.
Last thing I have to mention is how the author gave us readers some reprieve through the very last pages, leaving us to wonder “what if”..

If you’re looking for an original and convoluted but satisfying sci-fi series, try this one!

Thanks to Cranthorpe Millner for a copy and this is my honest opinion.

This is the final book in The Restoration Project trilogy and you must read Gambit and Variant first.

Wow, I’m glad I got to see this series through to the end. When we first met Jason and Sally in book 1, they were returning to a building site to try and figure out what happened to their friend Simon, that ended up putting him in a coma, fighting for his life. The result was nothing you could have ever predicted.

The author has created a fascinating and complex world, filled with time travel, high stakes and suspense. In this final instalment the pieces of the puzzle finally fit together and some of the things that were confusing me throughout the series finally made sense. It was definitely an emotional explosion and a great end to the series.

If you’re looking for a new Sci-fi series then I definitely recommend giving this a try. It’s not a fast easy read, rather it’s a crazy whirlwind of a series that leaves you guessing and asking for more.

Overall, this was a 4⭐️ read for me.

What a final book in the series!!

Clive Stephens just sent me through a rollercoaster of emotions with this! Just incredible!

There was a lot of action in this and my heart nearly stopped a few times! Jason has gone through a tremendous amount of personal and emotional growth. The fight scenes and reasons behind them was fascinating.

Sally has her own personal growth and she is actually quite clever- I loved her interactions with Knight.

That ending just blew me away! I am going to be thinking about this for some time!

I loved how everything ties together in the end - I had a few questions about each previous book and stepped away highly satisfied after finishing this one!

Fantastic end to the series, this is such a good Sci-fi series fans of this genre need to get this!!

Thank you to LBT for having me on this book review tour and for my gifted copy of this epub.

This was the final book In this series and I’m not sure how I feel about this being over. I just I need some time to process please. Holy cow. What just happened ?! lol. I think for me this book was my favourite not sure why I think because everything comes together but also the story was just so good!!

I will say though my heart just couldn’t handle this book I was a mess I felt like I was heartbroken then healed and then heartbroken all over again. I felt my emotions in this story as if I was in the book !!!

I loved Jason and Sally. I think in this book If possible loved them even more. This book was a puzzle in book form and I haven’t read anything like it before. I think I’m gonna have to go back and reread all these books right in a row and see what that does cause I feel like for me would be so good.

I just am amazed by this world the author had created and how everything just clicks into place with this book. Oh my just so so good.

What I loved so much was how the author left me going what if ?!

Gosh my head is still just reeling. Excuse me while I go buy these books!!

Highly recommend!!

Forfeit is the third and final instalment of the The Restoration Project series, and I’m a bit sad to see the last of Jason and Sally. This has been an entertaining time travel/space/science fiction series aimed at teens aged 13-18, but also entertaining for those of us who haven’t seen that age group for some years 😂. I also would feel comfortable for the teens and future teens in my life reading these books as the language and subject are appropriate for the YA age group. Forfeit wraps up the series neatly, and many questions that I had, and you also might have, are answered. I love forward to reading future works by Mr. Stephens. 5 out of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You know back in the 90s when we were all playing Solitaire on the PC? And you’d make that one move, the last one that caused the whole deck to come flying across the screen? You know the one. Arcs of cards rippling in patterns, filling the monitor and finally settling in the only possible correct order?

Yeah that’s what this book is like. It’s the third and final book in the series and honestly, it sends the pieces scattering and then they all settle into place.

This story has it all. Sci-fi. Time travel. Adventure. Misadventure. High stakes. Jeopardy. Intensity. Characters that have grown and developed as the series progressed. And ending that was impossible to guess and will be impossible to forget. I loved it.
A solid five stars.

This book slowly crawls under your skin and refuses to leave. Forfeit has that rare kind of psychological tension where you constantly feel like something bigger is happening beneath the surface. The pacing is excellent, the atmosphere is haunting, and the twists genuinely caught me off guard.

What stood out most to me was how unpredictable everything felt. Every chapter added more questions, and I kept telling myself “just one more chapter” until I finished the entire book. The psychological mind games were brilliantly written and made the story impossible to put down.

The ending completely messed with my head in the best possible way. Definitely recommended for readers who love dark thrillers, unreliable narrators, and stories that keep you thinking long after the final page.

Forfeit by Clive Stephens is the third and final instalment in the The Restoration Project sci-fi series.

I've grown to love this series and as it's progressed it's only gotten better. This one feels a lot more in depth and emotional, and I really loved the character development we get throughout the story.

I'd honestly be willing to bet you could finish this entire trilogy in 2-3 days because of how gripping it is as a whole. The world building is done beautifully, the writing is immersive, and the adventure feels completely mind bending at times.

I genuinely don't know what I'm going to do now that I won't be reading more of Sally and Jason. This is probably my favourite book in the series and I'm so happy it ended on the perfect note.

Rated 5 ⭐️

BLOG TOUR REVIEW

Review for 'Forfeit' by Clive Stephens

This is the third book I have read by this incredible author. It is also the third and final book in Clive's 'The Restoration Project' series and although it could potentially be read as a standalone I would highly recommend that you do read the books in this series in order. The first two books I have read were Clive's DEBUT novel as well as being the first book in his 'The Restoration Project' Series which was called 'Gambit' and the second book in this series which is called 'Variant'. I would HIGHLY recommend all books as they are all incredible!

Yet another absolutely incredible book in your debut series Clive and an absolutely brilliant finale!!! I've said it before and I will say it again, if THIS is what you can create for your very first series then I just cannot wait to see what on Earth you will come out with next!! I will start by saying that when I decided to read 'Gambit' that these books being science fiction based would not be my usual choice of book so I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the storyline but I was fascinated by the absolutely stunning and eye catching cover and synopsis and was looking forward to trying it out. I had also been watching 'Stranger Things' so when it mentioned 'time portals' in the synopsis I just had to give it a go! I absolutely LOVED 'Gambit' so of course I just could NOT WAIT to read the second and then this third and final book and I was counting down the days until I could get my hands on it!! If you are not typically a fan of science fiction books then do not let that put you off, expand your reading genres and give this book a try!! I am extremely pleased that I did as not only did I enjoy each book in this series and this brilliant page turner personally my partner, who is a fan of fantasy and science fiction, loved it!

This absolutely fantastic book may be aimed at children and young adults with the age rating Amazon has given being 12-18 but, sadly, at the age of 39 I am no longer classed as a child or even as a young adult but I really enjoyed it as did my 38 year old partner!! My 13 year old son Malaki has also thoroughly enjoyed reading each book in this series so I would recommend them regardless of whether you are a young adult or an older one! We all enjoyed reading them and are quite sad that we have now finished this series. However, we also cannot wait to see what Clive Stephens is going to come up with next/. With this being is debut series and yet being so brilliant we are definitely looking forward to his next successes! All books are available FREE with KINDLE UNLIMITED so grab all three books and get hooked today!! The storyline continues to follow Jason and Sally are still determined to get home after passing through several realms/worlds but are getting further away and into deeper danger. This book continues straight on from where I left Sally and Jason in Gambit. I did have to go back and re-read the last chapter of Gambit just to bring me back up to date with where they were as I read it back last year and have read many books since. I would seriously read Gambit before starting this book. It isn't often I say that a book series HAS to be read in order but I would HIGHLY recommend it in this case! All three of these books are currently FREE WITH KINDLE UNLIMITED so grab all three while you are there!

With a storyline ram packed with adventure, danger, time travel, science fiction, vortexes, fantasy, dystopia, drama, action, space, friendship and so very much more that will leave you wanting more, what exactly are you waiting for? Clive's absolutely incredible evocative descriptions will ensure the reader is sucked into the book where they will hear the characters, see the action and characters and feel their heart pounding as they fly through the pages of this incredible adventure! The fact that there is so much going on ensures that there is no chance the reader will be able to put it down so make sure you clear your schedules before starting this book! I devoured it in just one sitting of a few hours and my partner, who usually takes a month to read half a book, managed to read it in just 2 days which is a record for him!! Clive has done an absolutely wonderful job of not only the character building throughout the storyline and series but also the world building which I just found fascinating which was a first for me as I am not typically a science fiction book fan. Clive's emotive, evocative and fantastic descriptions ensures the reader is sucked into this fantasy world storyline seeing the characters, atmosphere and action come to life right in front of their eyes. His imagery and vivid descriptions really do help create and build this whole new fantasy world which really does come alive in front of you. I found the storyline to be extremely unique and I enjoyed every moment of it!!

The characters are all complex and multi dimensional with a range of different abilities, personalities, histories and objectives. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know more about them all, especially Jason and Sally and am quite sad to say Goodbye to them both although I am excited to see who Clive will create next! I absolutely LOVE the fact that one of our main protagonists is a strong and kick butt female. Being female myself I always love seeing strong female leads in books and Sally is absolutely brilliant especially seeing her grow in strength from beginning to end! I enjoyed getting to meet all the different characters and the author has done an absolutely brilliant job of weaving the storyline together perfectly ensuring the reader gets the bigger picture. They were all very strong characters with their own unique personalities, flaws, quirks, strengths and weaknesses.

❤️ Overall an action packed, time travelling science fiction adventure💜

What an adventure I’ve been on with, not just Forfeit but, the entire trilogy.
I can honestly say I’m excited to read more from Clive and more sci-fi in general.

I was apprehensive going into the final instalment because 1, was I still going to be confused and 2, what was going to happen to Jason and Sally but I’m so glad I was accepted on to the tour because this is the best book in the series and the perfect way to end.

Throughout the series, I loved watching Sally and Jason’s growth, strength and resilience as they are traverse an uncertain and unpredictable world, helping me piece together the complexity of the story.

This will be a story I remember and think about often. I am also planning on rereading as I feel (like I said before), it’s like the film Inception, a second read and I may pick up on things I missed first time or understand it better.

Thank you Clive for creating such an immersive, engaging and thrilling sci-fi/time travel adventure that had me captivated and, at times, emotional.

I will definitely buy a physical copy to complete the series.
